What most people looking at the possibly illegal bill passed by the Wisconsin Senate last night and which will be passed by the Wisconsin House and immediately signed by Gov. Walker is that doesn't mean that it will actually become a law! Nor will similar acts by the Repub Party [that's their name as long as they persist in calling our party as the "Democrat" Party!] in the other "progressive" states around the Great Lakes because we all have the same progressive constitution based on the Wisconsin progressive constitution that Robert LaFollette helped write. Our states (mine is the Great State of Michigan, which owns most of Lake Michigan, most of Lake Superior, half of Lake Huron, half of Lake St Clare, and a small section of Lake Erie) all have the right of the people to circulate a referendum petition that requires any act of the State Legislature up to a pubic vote before it can take effect.
This means that any act taking away public employees right to bargain or changing such things and limiting bargaining to wage/salaries only or taking away the binding arbitration from the police and fire unions will not be able to take effect until after the next state wide election, which I believe will be 2012!
