titled "When Voters Don't Vote Rights are Taken Away" and I thought I would share with you here.
In November I screamed and yelled my head off at my tv when I saw the results rolling in and that dems were devastated at the polls. I knew what it meant. Many went out to Jon Stewards rally and to see Ed Schultz but when it came time to vote most stayed home. Up to now I do not understand. If anyone understood what was really going on and was paying attention they would not have stayed home. This is why I felt compelled to share this article:

On March 9th, 1965 Martin Luther King Junior led a “symbolic” march to Edmund Pettus
Bridge to show solidarity with African-Americans who were bludgeoned and beaten 2 days before on March 7th. The “600 marchers” were pushed back to Selma from the blows showered on them by police. The infamous day is now known as “Bloody Sunday”. African-Americans fought for their rights and many were hurt and lives lost to secure their place in this land of America.
In November 2010 many did not get out to vote in this country. There was an ugly current of divisiveness in the air. Folk were depressed and downtrodden from the toll of the “great recession” and many were distracted by hateful disingenuous talk. The media did a poor job of educating the masses and allowed the malaise to sweep across the country.
When citizens do not vote rights are taken away...

Maybe Dems will stay engaged and not only depend on Obama to stand up for us.
We have to stand up for ourselves.
