I'm your VJ/DJ, Justice Putnam; and I'll be manning the dials, spinning the discs, warbling the woofers, putting a slip in your hip and a trip to your hop.
Sit back, roam the Big Orange and have a listen to...
Black Kos Music: Late Night in the Justice Department.
What have they done to the rain?
Who would disagree, that outside of the crystalline facets of a raw amethyst broken open; what is more beautiful than a snow-flake? Whether following the slow descent from a gray sky; or viewed under a microscope, the wonder of its beauty astounds.
But I have a certain aversion to snow-flakes; and for that matter, certain kinds of rain.
When the Bikini Atolls and the desert outside of Las Vegas were pummelled by split atom explosions on a weekly basis; mothers across America and the world warned their children not to eat a snowflake; not to catch rain on the tongue.
Reports of an increase in radioactive readings in the storms washing across Northern California from the devastation in Japan have caused some to take precautions.
I am so sad for our world. With the joy of an Aristide return finally giving hope to a devastated people; our insane need to boil water to make steam to then turn a turbine; no matter what the fuel used to boil the water; has caused a global calamity.
Cultures and nations rise and fall by migrations forced by nature and those very culture's short-sightedness on the use of resources. When nature and short-sightedness combine; lives are torn apart and distance becomes a visceral barrier.

Question: Who is your audience? What are you here for?
Answer: Tribal Alliances, Heart-felt Convictions, Passionate Reason, Random Abandon, Sustainable Civility and a kiss; to comfort the sad and the mad Ones; the Ones roaming the International section of the American Supermarket at night; or roaming the neglected streets looking for an angry malaprop to sink their teeth into; the Ones who seek without seeking and learn as much as they teach; the Ones who embrace and kiss and embrace again; the Ones who sing the song of the city and the ballads of the forest; the Ones who chant the rhythm of the sea and hum the melody of the desert; the Ones who sing the prayer of Her name and Her name is the World. Yes, those are the Ones.
Black Kos Music: Late Night in The Justice Department is a free form, eclectic music program and posts Sunday through Thursday nights at 8pm West Coast time; and at 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
(I've pledged the minimum $150 to help heat freezing folks in need on the Rosebud Reservation. Navajo has an important diary posted with all the particulars. Even a small amount can work towards building the minimum. Could you please help?)
