Dear friends, I could use your help, and fortunately (I hope not unfortunately) there's many of you logged in at any given moment. In 2010 I was the Democratic opponent of an 8 term Republican incumbent Congressman, Frank LoBiondo. There was serious, but not easily discerned fraud that took place.
First, may I try riling this army concerning a relatively minor, but recent matter, and not the subject of the main body of this diary? Two days ago, "Landslides" (one of my many pet names for him) voted to defund NPR! It's pathetic because the month before he voted in favor of an infamous, and extravagantly expensive, extra F-35 jet fighter engine the Pentagon had no use for. Thankfully, that vote failed, but, there's a much more grave matter at hand and I invite you over to main body of this diary.
A quick bio. I'm not your average politician. I have no political resume, other than runs for high political office. I had my reasons for taking the plunge, but there's no time to get into that here. I was also a registered Republican for 30 years, and only changed parties last year in order to go after this skunk, more effectively as the major party candidate, and not as a minor Independent on the ballot, like I was in 2008, running against him the first time.
I received no help from the local Democratic organization. I raised no money, and had no money of my own to spend campaigning. All I had was that insider look that 2008 afforded me; viewing him close up at the two of three debates where I was a participant. I discovered that maybe my Congressman might be a pathological liar, thereby effecting his previous votes in Congress, and future ones. We'll leave it at that, except to say I voted for him six times before all this. I'm as guilty as all the rest for not seeing him for what he is.
It's now 5 months after losing the 2010 election 65 to 31%. What's new now, that wasn't covered during the campaign? Two weeks ago a local racetrack filed for bankruptcy, and it ties neatly into an issue I brought up in 2010; namely, that the supposedly "fiscally conservative" Congressman, stupidly sought to tie his 2008 vote on TARP, to first getting an earmark for the raceway. Long story short, the dope couldn't even get the earmark, he bragged in paper next day that he sought it- since denied- and he then cynically voted "no" to TARP. Incredibly, all the while he's on record badmouthing Wall Street! (last year he conveniently tied Nancy Pelosi to the rescue of the credit markets, i.e., TARP. You know what I mean.) This I brought out in a 6 sentence letter to the editor last week- following the raceway bankruptcy -but not before I first had to prove, to the same paper that printed an article that day after the vote, that my charge tying the two together in 2008 was true. I did just that and they printed. But I showed them the same proof in 2010, and now it's 2011! Now, if they didn't follow through and verify that charge I was making at the time- what about an accusation, one thousand times more serious -which I was also making last fall!
As I said up top, I have very meager resources, so now on a hunch, I'm preparing this letter below to a free legal advice company...(haha, it sound silly)... on the internet. Please review and tell me if it has any merit, or how it could be better written. I'd like to sue him.
As a private citizen, but also as his chief opponent in 2010, I'd also like to file House "ethics" charges against him. Seriously, what's the minimum standard he has to uphold, as the Incumbent, if elections are to mean anything, and if House Ethic committee guidelines count for something? And what about me? What are my legal options as his chief opponent!!! See folks, I'm over my head, I'm swimming against the tide, and things are seriously out of whack in the 2nd district in New Jersey. I know it, but it goes to show what a King he's become, however unworthy I feel he is.
Chapter 47- Fraud and False Statements
Statute:
a) Except as otherwise provided in this section, whoever, in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Government, knowingly and willfully-
1) falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact;
2) makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation...
There's nothing new now about the facts of his lies, I didn't know before. I did my research on his record when it counted, during a solemn election. Friends, this is what I whipped up about an hour ago for the free legal advise team chomping at the bit (lol)....if I submit. Or, am I (sol)...shit out of luck? I turn to you, kossacks. I'm trying to run for NJ Assembly. A few extra per centage points last year sure would have helped me this year.
Watch the youtube, PLEASE! Can a Congressman- duly sworn to "faithfully discharge the duties of the office" -who, when he's seated next to me- his Democratic opponent- at an editorial board meeting in last years campaign, did "KNOWINGLY, WILLFULLY" and unlawfully deny me credibility and/or my ability to accurately point out the Congressman's, ultimate flip flop, his despicable cover up of his true position on the 2007 Troop Surge (stated for posterity when he read his position into the Congressional Record; on tape and in the YouTube included with this request for legal advise)..... by his, the Congressman's, plain and simple misuse of his prestige and authority, in order that his lie not be investigated by local media (inclined to believe a sitting, 8 term incumbent); including the Courier Post editorial board; thereby stopping my unfunded campaign in it's tracks (and deprive me of my only chance, and by extension deprive the CITIZENS of my district a fair referendum on the issues)- even though the facts support my assertion that he's lying to all, veterans included, on the most important national-international issue of last 20 years? It sounds goofy, but it's there, in 6 minutes worth of YouTube. Thank you for your consideration and temporary suspension of skepticism, I know it's supposed to be a given that ALL politicians lie, but this is something altogether different. You, as lawyers- wise to squirrely behavoir..... let just say you'll be rewarded in the first minute, if you watch the YouTube
