I wanted to share one of my favorite places here on Whidbey Island, Ebey's Landing. Fortunately for me its only a 5 miles from home.
This spot is on top of 180' cliff over the beach at Ebey's Landing.
When I was slowing to a stop an eagle started calling from the tops of the trees, but I couldn't see it.

Admiralty Inlet with Port Townsend and Olympic Mountains in the background
Ebey's Landing and the Strait of Juan de Fuca, together all these bodies of water form the Salish Sea an inland sea. Vancouver Island and BC's capital of Victoria are visible in the distance.
There is a fabulous trail along the top of that bluff in the distance.
I did see one of two Bald Eagles that must have been watching me during my stop there, the other one I could only hear. By the time I got home it was dark, riding with lights of course.
