Don't mind me "Phish"ing in the title.

It's the first thought that came to mind after putting together this rather simple, short, but seemingly much-needed meta diary for the community.

Do you Recommend another title?

Here's the tunes to go along with it while you make the jump below the fold for a quick meta Recommendation:

I've been noticing a bunch recently that I've been adding the "Recommended" tag quite frequently to diaries that appear on the Rec List. For one reason or another, it appears that duty of Trusted Users is somehow missing a little bit of attention.

Maybe it was the conversion and plethora of new activities that caused TUs to forget about some of the old? Dunno. Maybe it's just that the "Recommended" tag isn't really of much importance in adding. It's not one of those CAP tags down there at the bottom of the page.

But I would imagine that there are a significant number of users following the "Recommended" tag. As such, with tags being a really big part of DK4, it seems we're doing those users an injustice as TU's by not adding the tag where it belongs. Let alone giving the diarist making the list the props where they're due.

This is just a short meta reminder:

Don't forget the "Recommended" tag.

If a diarist bags it, don't forget to tag it TUs, so all the butchers in the store can buy it.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
