Today as I reflect on some of our trials and joys here in the Kos community, I feel
that sometimes we do not lift up our friends as much as we should. I feel we need to let our heros know they are so special, especially in times of need. I look at our quiltmakers like Sara and Ann and our military candle lighters, along with those who just
come to the rescue of so many in this community. This is my way of saying thank you and please know, we are all so blessed to have friends far and away who really care.
The diary is short but felt from the bottom of my heart. I wanted to do this after reading so much about the Gulf, Nurse Kelley,Sara, OS's quilt project, DaNang's project, the rescue with me back in December and
people all across this community who do not realize they are so worthy of being called
angels. They light a candle, say prayers, give words of encouragement and give advice and sometimes say just what a person needs to hear in a troubled world.
Marcos is another hero for providing a place for people to congregate and share their
joy and sorrow and frustration. To every group, to every person here, you are so
important. Community...The words just seem empty until one experiences the real feel of community and that we have here.
This is to all of our Angels..
Please feel free to post your own comments and your own songs. There is someone here I am sure who needs the comment or theuplift. Today is what we have now and it is better to give flowers while we can still enjoy the aroma. I am thinking of all the trouble in Japan and Iraq and Afganisistan not to mention in our own homes from homelessness to lonliness . Sometimes we just need a friendly community and a reminder that these folks who give, need a little something back !
