Who knew the real cause of our federal deficit? Yes, you guessed it - our intrepid postal employees! We shouldn't worry, though. Congressman Darrell Issa is on the case. According to the website Political Carnival , Issa will be investigating the new contract agreement recently reached between USPS and the postal employees union.
Postal employees, who on average, are paid between $35,000 and $54,000, apparently are of far more concern than our Wall Street banksters, buoyed by billions in government bailouts, who are taking home millions of dollars annually. I just can't wait until I tell a family member, who is a postal worker, that he is public enemy number one in the war on government spending!
Perhaps we need to send a message to Mr. Issa. The bad guys are not the ones who stop at your mailbox, Mr. Issa. You might want to look toward Wall Street. While you're at it, you might also want to look around the halls of Congress - and in the mirror.
Update: It should be noted that the USPS is an independent governmental entity, and does not add to the Federal debt. H/T to inclusiveheart!
