If you're tired of the pie fights, tired of the arguing, tired of your day and tired of the world, welcome to the Daily Diversion, your one stop group for all things irrelevant. Our purpose is to provide you with enough shiny objects to give you a break from the world for 10-15 minutes a day. If you have any suggestions, hate mail, or diversions of your own, speak now or forever hold your pee.
Enough with the chit-chat introduction nonsense, on with the show!

Linguo
Remember Linguo, the super-smart English robot Lisa built that corrected youre grammer if u cant speak english god? Well,
I am Linguo I am definitely not a grammar correcting robot, so don't get that idea. However, I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night, and the interwebs lets me play one on
TV DailyKos. If you're interested in language and having fun with it, here are some good sites for you to play around with (Ha! This parenthetical comment made sure the sentence didn't end with a preposition. Suckers.).
- Pig Latin Translator -- It'sway unfay otay uckfay ithway eoplepay inway away adbay oodmay usingway Igpay Atinlay.
- Shakespearian Insult Kit -- For when you can't find the words to describe that artless earth-vexing apple john of a neighbor.
- Speech Accent Archive -- George Mason University has a nifty speech accent archive, for when you can't stop listening to that one cute accent (I like Canadian accents myself).
- Creation in MS-DOS -- If you're a religious person (even if you're not), here's a funny little typing God thingy showing the Creation story played out in command prompt form.
Game of the Day
Fantastic Contraption
Fantastic Contraption is a fun little game you won't be able to play just once. You have to build moving contraptions to get the pink shape to the pink goal box. It's not as easy as it sounds, but it's fun as heck once you get the hang of it.

Videos
Back when the internet was still the white net in men's swimshorts, KRON ran this news story about this futuristic idea of electronically reading newspapers:
Nice story about leopard seals from a NatGeo photographer.
A song that I found in my YouTube favorites the other day. Pretty good -- she's got a future.
And your daily airplane video, because I'm obsessive like that. This is a beautiful takeoff of a Sun Country Boeing 737 from Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport on a cold winter's morning.
Hope this helps you escape reality for a little while, at least. What's diverting you today?
