Endless advertising on TV which tells everyone that everything can be cured with a pill.
Empty, impoverished lives with pitiful values, lousy crap-filled diets, crappy water befouled by corporate greed, incredibly bad education, wicked sin-filled religions which discourage people from looking after their own interests, worship of the wealthy and powerful, the list could go on and on.
These people need to be awakened from their drug-induced state of zombieness, and what is more, they all have really icky teeth from drinking too much of that god-damned Mountain Dew.
And they need to be freed from Rush Limbaugh as their messiah.
The middle, the red section, of our nation, is crap.
They eat crap. They drink crap. Even their beer is crap. They listen to crap on radio and watch crap on television and in the movie theater.
Their schools are crap. No Child Left Behind is crap. Neil Bush and his Ignite software are crap.
Revisionist history and, particularly, the revisionist history of David Barton are crap.
Mike Huckabee is crap:
“I don’t know anyone in America who is a more effective communicator [than David Barton.] I just wish that every single young person in America would be able to be under his tutelage and understand something about who we really are as a nation. I almost wish that there would be something like a simultaneous telecast and all Americans would be forced, forced — at gun point no less — to listen to every David Barton message. And I think our country would be better for it. I wish it’d happen.”

Revisionist science is crap.
Most of the water in that region is crap, because of hydrofracking and other reasons.
Fracking for producing energy is crap.
And, both of Oklahoma's U.S. Senators are crap, Inhofe:
Republicans at the hearing expressed concern about increasing the E.P.A.’s regulatory responsibilities. Current state regulations are adequate, said Senator James M. Inhofe of Oklahoma, adding that there are no cases of contaminated drinking water being linked directly to hydrofracking.
“These people have been doing a good job,” Mr. Inhofe said. “But the mentality in Washington is, nothing is done right unless it’s done in Washington.”

Coburn:
“I am confident this study, if truly focused on hydraulic fracturing,” wrote Senator Tom Coburn, Republican of Oklahoma, last April to the E.P.A. administrator, Lisa P. Jackson, “will prove the process indisputably safe and acceptable.”
In September, Senator James M. Inhofe, also a Republican from Oklahoma, wrote to agency officials to offer his guidance about who should be allowed to review the research. “We caution against potential panelists who have been longtime critics of hydraulic fracturing,” he wrote in a letter.

But, how do you save anyone from a life of crap when all they understand is crap?
