Alright.
I know that we're supposed to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Just because they criticize the President doesnt mean they are racists.
Fair enough.
Just because they believe he is a socialist doesnt mean they are racists.
Ok. Sure.
Just because they believe he wasnt born in this country, was raised by his stepfather in Kenya (!) and is a practicing Muslim doesnt mean they are racists.
Give me a break.
I'm writing this from my phone, which is really hard by the way.
My adorable 60 year old neighbor sent me this video via txt ( really) saying " These people are awful."
She attended a Tea Party rally back during the healthcare debate because she fell for the good ol' " they are trying to kill grandma" line. She still doesnt trust the president and I doubt she will vote for him in 2012.
When she came back from the rally, she said " it was okay. There were a lot of kooks though".
Gee, I wonder why she thought that. Grown folks in 1700s get ups, wearing crazy hats with tea bags hanging from them are an everyday occurence all the time.
Anyway, she didn't go back from what I know. What she kept denying tough was that they were racist s at all. This sweet 60 year old lady's husband was actually black. She told me that he was even more conservative than she was. He died about 10 years ago and she sincerely believes he would have gone to the rally with her had he been alive.
Ok.
Anyway, I'm not sure who sent her the video, probably one of her kids who, as you can probably guess, are huge Obama fans. One actually looks exactly like a grown Malia.
I watched the video and I was just sad. You know they exist but it seems they were hidden before or they knew what was not acceptable to say in polite company.
Not anymore. They're unleashed and will not take it anymore...or something.
Anyway, here it is. Tea Party folks attending a Michelle Bachman rally on April 18. Sorry, no idea how to embed it from the phone..
