I don't think I've seen anyone flailing so hard since Trump, and he at least had some "dignity" to bow out after becoming such a rapid embarrassment. I doubt Gingrich will have the same grace, but he may as well after this:
Newt's new excuse on his Meet the Press Fiasco: I wasn't ready for those Gotcha questions
I mean, at this point it's just kinda sad.
Funny, but sad. Like a one-legged clown trying to ride a unicycle. Not even a year into your candidacy and you're, as put forth by TPM, "playing the Palin card". The site even confirmed with NBC that this past Sunday was his 35th visit to the show. And I"m sure majority of them were within this year alone!
But no, guest visit number 35 was the time that David Gregory apparently decided to whip out the hard questions:
"I didn't go in there quite hostile enough, because it didn't occur to me going in that you'd have a series of setups," Gingrich said, according to the Washington Examiner. "This wasn't me randomly saying things. These were very deliberate efforts to pick fights."
He's done so well to destroy whatever good will he had with the party before the starting gun for the race has even "officially" fired (Since filing for candidacy is still open).
And when you've got voters Telling you to your face that you are an embassment to the party on camera, then you might want to think about slipping quietly out of the limelight before you stick your foot into your mouth further.
Just some friendly advice!
