Rick Perry came to Houston on Monday for the grand opening of the King Street Patriot office. They might call themselves patriots, but they are anything but that.

They basically are a voter suppression group. Tea Party to the core. They are happy bo fight against doing what is right for our kids and seniors. They are basically one of those pac that helps get the money where they need it. They are a bunch of conspiracy theorists. Their favorite legislator is Dan Patrick who is part of the tea party caucus.

We decided to go and protest Rick Perry. Mike Engelhart, a judge got the ball rolling. We got the news about 4 days before, but got the word out and had about 75 people show up. I got there late, so I missed Rick Perry. However, I met some really cool people. Here is a video I took of some of the people there and why they came:

We are starting to see people getting angry and showing up to these rallies. People don't know or understand what is happening here. They soon will. Especially with education.
Rick Perry is set to fire 100,000 teachers. We are doing a rally tomorrow in one of our reddest areas in the county. They have a great school system. People don't realize that they are going to see over $40 million cut in that budget. It will be interesting to see the screaming!
