Back in April Rick Santorum got more than a little heat due to an early presidential campaign slogan -- "Fighting to Make America America Again".
Unbeknownst to Santorum, the slogan too closely resembled the iconic pro-union poem by the great African-American, and gay, poet Langston Hughes, "Let America Be Amercia Again". Shortly afterwards any remnants of "Fighting to Make America America Again" was scrubbed from his website and Pawlenty disowned any part of the decision to use it. When asked whether the slogan was borrowed from the poem by Hughes, Santorum responded:
"No, I had nothing to do with that. I didn’t know that. And the folks who worked on that slogan for me didn’t inform me that it came from that, if it in fact came from that.”
Well, friends, it happened again, this time by his fellow presidential candidate, T-Paw.
