     Yep, just as Bachmann is being backed by the Koch brothers to rustle up feathers during the Conference, and other media outlets in MN broke the story on Bachmann's mentor Pulkrabek. The Title of the story and content begins thus;

Bill Pulkrabek, Michele Bachmann's former campaign manager,
                 faces domestic assault charge for Memorial Day strangulation

 "Bill Pulkrabek, a Washington County Commissioner who played a key role in launching Rep. Michele Bachmann's political career, has been jailed on suspicion of domestic assault -- including strangulation.

The 41-year-old real estate broker was arrested Monday afternoon in Woodbury. After booking he posted $25,000 bail". ran the former story on Bachmann's rise to fame - calling her

The Chosen One

       Documenting the rise in the Republican party. denotes the fact that Bachmann's career was launched through the help of George Bush, Karl Rove and Dick Cheney. As it stated in the City Chosen One story;
"The Bush visit, which followed local appearances by Karl Rove and Dick Cheney on Bachmann's behalf, reportedly raised $500,000 for her Sixth District campaign. It underscored how badly the Iraq-torn, defector-ridden Bush GOP wants to put more lockstep soldiers like Bachmann in Congress. It also said something about the composition of Bachmann's district: In a campaign season when many Republican candidates are discreetly avoiding any association with Bush—or, like onetime White House marionette Mark Kennedy, running full-tilt away from him—most pundits concur that the Sixth is one of those rare blue-state districts where his blessing may still be an asset. Small wonder the Bush administration reportedly counts it among the five most important House races in the country".

    Minnesota artist Ken Avidor has the Number 1 website out to halt Michele Bachmann entitled "Dump Bachmann". He has been engaged in grass roots efforts to thwart her manifest rise to power since 2004.

     Avidor's Dump Bachmann Blog points to the follow up story by CityPages that is entitled - "Bill Pulkrabek domestic assault victim: Married GOP politico dragged mistress by her hair". The story points out the details released to the public thus far including this copy of the Police Report (redacting the victim's name). This is the "initial" Police Report;

   The story link (here) = gives a better view of the report than we are able to muster upon this Diary. It clearly states

Officer Comments;

     Complaintant claimed she was pulled by her hair down the stairs, held down by his elbow and choked to where it was hard to breath.

      What is odd, is Pulkrabek is married to another Politico and very attractive woman - Lori. Because of Conflict of Interest issues = the case is being pushed to an alternate venue of Ramsey County Attorney's Office, that is expected to file charges.

     Pulkrabek is out on $25,000 bond.

     Michele Bachmann's office has not formally commented on the issue. This morning Bachmann was on Good Morning America and intends to announce her Presidential bid in Iowa (where she was reportedly born).

    The comments in the story state that Lori and Pulkrabek are divorcing, but we have not found a story on that issue as of yet.

  Vast amount of details on Bachmann past and present are upon Ken Avidor's Dump Bachmann Blog (here). We will try to update you with more as the news breaks.

  What are the odds that this thug/bully - will get away with this by a program, probation or cash passed around?  Hope the victim has the temerity to make sure the "whole" story meets the press!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
