I'm all about understanding , I guess that's why I've tried my damnest to come to terms with all the vitriol unleashed by those on the right , my only conclusion is that we do in fact live in two seperate worlds . Red & blue aren't just colors , they're states of mind . I get Redstaters making fun of NY, Cali or Michigan , but how do you explain the conservative diehards in the blue states ? Do they really want blue to turn red ? Maybe both ( the redstaters and their sympathizers ) should consider what that means . For all their complaints about the welfare state , they certainly don't seem to mind the handouts form the federal government in excess of the taxes they pay .

Welfare from blue to red , how novel .
Speaking of welfare ( bad joke , sorry) , anyone know the percentage of the population in your state that receives food stamps ? Another shocker .
The top 20 based on average Monthly Number of Persons Participating in the Food Stamp Program from StateHealthFacts.org divided by census population .
1. Mississippi 20.8%
2. New Mexico 20.4%
3. Tennessee 20.3%
4. Oregon 20.2%
5. (tie) Lousiana/Michigan 19.5%
7. Kentucky 19%
8. (tie)Maine/West Virginia18.9%
10.(tie)Alabama/South Carolina 18.4%
12. Georgia 17.9%
13. Arkansas 16.8%
14. North Carolina 16.6%
15. Oklahoma 16.5%
16. Florida 16.4%
17. (3 way tie) Texas/Ohio/Washington 15.8%
20. Missouri 15.7%
That's a whole lotta red !!!
Maybe I'll add in an analysis of state EITC credits later ( more of the same ) .
See what you get in a redstate ?
