There are people here that show a level of activism that stuns me. I do so little while they do so much. Here is an example.
In 1986 international whaling was banned. The wholesale killing of whales was made illegal. But that doesn't seem to matter. To this very day you can kill a whale. Or a thousand of them. Butcher them and nobody seems to care.
Enter the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. They seem to care. What follows below is a short shout out to activism. To people with big balls.
I've mentioned this show and cause here a few times here. The response is often, "wow I didn't know this was happening." People should know it is happening! I may type this or that here about this or that. But it takes people to take action. To affect a cause.
Paul Watson is the founder of the group. He was a founding member of Green Peace, but kicked out cause he was too militant. I have to admit at times I question him. But what I can't question is his desire to save whales.
He runs two boats, whoops ships. Two large ships that actually hound the ships that hunt whales. One is named the Bob Barker. Yes the Bob Barker of the Price is Right. He bought it for them.
I don't understand international law on the open seas. But it seems you can do shit you can't do to my house.
So he is out on open seas fighting. With massive boats. Trying to stop the wholesale slaughter of whales.
