I hope you will forgive me but I'm on full Weiner fatigue at this point in time, and I'm also on full Democrats caving fatigue all the way around. I'm also totally over what I can only call the total 'Decoys that the media feeds us day in and day out,' from paying attention to the major issues at hand that actually matter to most working or unemployed Americans, who deserve so much better than what the Oligarchy and Plutocrats and throwing to us as nothing but bullshit crumbs, we are supposed to be thankful and just suck up and shut up about. I'm over it.
Meanwhile the endless and illegal wars continue and as we, the unwashed masses are being stripped of our final safety nets, (medicare and social security, by our own Blue Dog Democrats) towards these new bullshit shared sacrifices and austerity programs, well there goes another $ Billion bucks for the newest war in Libya. And let's not even talk about this missing $ 6.6 Billion still missing from Iraq. I mean, why even give a shit about that at this point? No, because Anthony Weiner is sooooo much more important, isn't he? That is how they play us.
WASHINGTON -- The debate over the constitutionality of U.S. involvement in Libya's civil war has obscured what could be a far harder sale for the president. Come the end of September, the costs borne by the American taxpayer for the country's intervention in Libya will surpass $1.1 billion, according to the administration's own accounting.
In the age of austerity, this is hardly chump change. And while the major gripes with U.S. policy center on the strategic purpose of getting involved -- or the legal rationale for choosing to do so -- it is the cost that could bring it all to an end.
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney on Thursday defended the $716 million that had already been spent on Libya by June 3.

One of the most compelling video I have seen to date on this subject is here, and I hope you will watch it:
The name of the article is so true as to what is really going on behind the scenes in our nation:
'A Security and Finance State That Dominates the American People.'
I’m a bit late to this Real News Network interview with Lawrence Wilkerson is a retired United States Army soldier and former chief of staff to United States Secretary of State Colin Powell. It’s the last in a series, and seeing this one might motivate you to view the earlier ones (here and here) It’s pretty strong stuff (hat tip Philip Pilkington):
That our nation is heading in the wrong direction is not at question here any longer. Most Americans want the same things: A return to sane management on Wall Street, a return to Glass-Steagall, an honest return to real Health Care Reform (we did not get it) a completely hands off to either party to destroy Medicare or Social Security, and an honest return to our own Democrats, to focus upon job creation. But of course this is all falling on deaf ears in our own government, as the Rethugs continue their hell bent and scorch and burn politics to do whatever they can to get back into power and continue to (be willingly held hostage by our own Democrats) to pass this agenda that 70 percent of Americans do not agree with.
Point in fact:
Jared Bernstein And Eric Cantor Agree: We Can’t Do Anything About Jobs That Will Work
Bernstein wants us to play by Washington consensus rules. Cantor sets those rules. Why is it that only those of us outside the warm confines of the beltway are able to see how utterly stupid that is? The left and right of the Beltway Consensus agree that we should do something about the depression level unemployment in the US. They just don’t want to do anything that might work, like, having the government create jobs. Bernstein recently wrote that we need to focus on job creation. But, he starts by saying we can’t have a program that creates jobs by rebuilding infrastructure so there is no point in talking about it.
Bernstein knows what we should do, but politicians aren’t going to do it. Therefore, he says, we should come up with some third or fourth best idea and try to sneak it past the Tea Party Congress and the political team at the White House. That isn’t going to happen either. This administration will refuse to do anything suggested by progressives, especially if it is smart, or good politics.
And this is exactly where the rubber meet the road people:
The beltway consensus, devoted to serving entrenched wealth, operates under specific constraints:
1. We can’t tax the rich.
2. Any structural change to the economy must not affect the profitability of any corporate person.
3. Government can only create jobs by giving money to corporate persons in the hope they will hire people.

But again, to juxtapose to my original thoughts on this diary, is why is it that 'President Obama,' and our own Democrats and Republicans always seem to come up with yet another Billion dollars here and there for the endless wars and illegal wars?
So here is my bottom line: The Class Wars are over, they have won and we have lost because day in and day out, we bite the 'fish bait' that is called the mass media propaganda machine, and then, what? We wonder why we are not moving forward and winning the future?
Most Americans know we are on the wrong tract and that is not the question here. The question is why do we keep giving our own Democratic Leadership excuses and a pass on their own failed leadership.
It broke my heart to see Anthony Weiner being taken down, and I know it was a total punch in the stomach, and I completely disagree with the way he handled this matter. What is disgusting to watch is how many Rethugs have gotten away with the same shit, and are still in office.
I consider myself a strong progressive Democrat from the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party, so I detest the tea party movement, but I loved this video:
Maybe the Tide is Turning as this video talks about, but one thing is for certain, no one including our own party is looking out for the Middle Class or the Unions or the poor of this nation, and I'm over it.
Strange how they always keep coming up with money for the MIC, but they all keep asking us to STFU and keep sacrificing for the new so called austerity movement.
I'm so over it, I'm beyond over it.
We don't need 'boots on the streets of Libya' which is what is going on now, we need 'boots on the street of our own nation' by the American people to stand up and be counted and to stop the madness all the way around.
I've been calling for a National Strike for a very long time now, and I continue to call for that kind of action. This is the kind of action that ended the Vietnam War, this is the kind of action that changed the Civil Rights legislation in our own nation, but now I am reminded of how our own Democrats have painted us all into a corner and are pretending they have no responsibility for all of those people who put President Obama into office almost three years ago: Remember this famous quote?
"When you've got 'em by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow." That is how the Democratic Leadership actually believes they have 'got us,' as have the Rethugs, and that quote was from non other than Charles Colson who worked for Tricky Dick Nixon. But the point is: What is the difference now?
Stop calling your own fellow Democrats 'haters' as we want change. This is the ultimate false equivalency and the straw man argument that is simply no longer working. For 45 years, I've been a faithful, in the fucking trenches supporter of my own party, so get over it.
And no, I did not want a pony. What I did expect was basic human decency and a return to some kind of sanity in our government. I guess you should think I should apologize for that notion, but I will not.
Thanks as always.
