Looks like another correspondent has decided to follow the greener pastures at FOX News:
Ed Henry Leaving CNN; Joining Fox News As Chief White House Correspondent
I will keep this short, sweet and to the point: Ed Henry, of many poor questions and even less answer, was CNN's chief White House correspondent. Apparently his contract was up, and rather than continue his relationship with CNN (certainly no titan of news reporting itself), he is apparently jumpiung ship to go work for FOX. It makes me wonder if this came down to just money for Henry, or if he felt he would be able to perform more of the "cutting edge" journalism that he was unable to do at CNN? Judging by the number of times he got schooled when asking a question, I think its safe to say that Mr. Henry is more likely getting a much bigger pay day to help add credibility to FOX (which is rather ironic since Henry is not exactly all that great, to put it kindly).
I find this story to be interesting because it continues along with the brain drain (if you can call it that given the folks involved) of correspondents who have been leaving CNN or MSNBC, for that matter for greener pastures, such as Nora O'Donnell (who went to CBS) and John Roberts (who also went to FOX). Is this trend picking up steam as the more visible talking heads just go in search of bigger pay days, or is something else at work (I personally suspect its the former reason)? Frankly I was astonished that anyone would pay big money for Norah O'Donnell, but maybe there is some segment of the news market that really enjoys her reporting...who knows?
