So, yesterday, a loud crowd of New York labor people and other supporters lined the street to give Scott Walker a message: go home...where you can be recalled. You aren't welcome in New York.
Walker was there at a featured speaker for a Republican National Committee fundraiser at the Sherry Netherland Hotel--which is on the corner of 59th and 5th Avenue, right near the entrance to Central Park. Yes, we have Republicans in New York City--many of whom work in Wall Street...and we know how all that turned out.
Here is the flavor:
The Job Party had organized previous demonstrations against Walker and we imported a bunch of cheeseheads for those rallies--and the cheeseheads were back!
And the rats were out too. If you've even been in New York City long enough, you probably ran into one of these rats--placed at non-union construction sites or just standing guard at pro-labor rallies to express our feelings about the enemies of labor.
Rally participants looking at the hotel where Walker and his thugs were gathering:
Labor was everywhere
And the theme was all Wisconsin...
He will never find a place to be in peace.
3:03 PM PT: Ok, gotta run--baseball game calls...OY, not to spoil the love we have for each other, I just realized--Brewers vs. Yankees. Please forgive me.
