Wouldn't Markos be such a fitting choice? Oh well, Markos is taken.
But really, we're coming upon an election year and we need to push whatever powers that might be left at MSNBC to put on a real morning show.
We need to come up with a list of replacements for Team Morning Joe and push like hell to have that show taken off the air.
I'm actually serious about this, so I would like your list of best choices for the main news anchors and best choices for pundits, because right now there's nothing to watch on any network during that time period.
btw, Mark Halperin used to be #2 on Salon's 50 worst pundit hack list. Today he made it to #1. He must be so proud.
My shortlist would include Ezra Klein and Stephanie Miller.
My favorite guest pundits, aside from great, but typical, politicians would be anyone from this site who's been around for the duration and progressive talk show hosts (yes, as we well know, they do exist), and those from progressive sites.
Of course, we also need "fair and balanced" for some unknown reason, so who would you suggest for those options? I'm thinking those who disagree with liberals and progressives, but who make good points. Unfortunately, I can't think of any, so maybe you can.
P.S. I do wonder if they used the seven second delay to get Joe ready for that feigned "I'm shocked! You can't say that" performance. They sure didn't use it beforehand, when he egged on the hapless wonder. Oops.
