Neil Chenoweth has a great article on the stuggle for succession for control of News Corp. Reporting the in the Australian Financial Review, Chenoweth informs us that none of the Murdoch children have any use for Roger Ailes, and regard him as an embarrassment.
In an earlier power struggle, Ailes forced out Lachlan, and James Murdoch's succession to his father's place is by no means secure. But according to this article, Ailes has powerful enemies, including Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, who owns 7% of News Corp. (Entertaining tidbit - it seems the News Corp PR department took away Ailes's Blackberry because of his inability to control the urge to send threatening emails.)
Of course James has serious PR problems, including possible fall out from the News of the World phone hacking scandal.
Chenoweth is reported to have a new Murdoch book in progress which will deal with the NDS Echostar case amongst other things.
All this should be great news for the Drop Fox campaign.
