Early yesterday, I posted THIS diary in the community.
Later in the day, there was chatter about it over at another blog (see blockquote, below). It happens to be the blog of a former Kossack that’s no longer permitted to post here.
The comments on the other blog indicated that the statements of some Democrats may have been brought to the attention of the Democratic Party’s “Rapid Response Team.” Also in those comments on that blog, I was called a member of the “Professional Left.” I’m not. (Disclosure: For a few decades, earlier in my career, however, I was a professional media consultant to dozens of Democratic candidates and officeholders—and I’ve worked with dozens more--many of whom are still prominent on the national scene.)
Three hours later, THIS appeared on the diary list. it was on the Rec List earlier today, as well. It happens to be posted by someone who had reposted extensive diary content from that same blog that I reference herein, over the previous 24 hours, too.
Despite having blogged here for over five years, while somewhat familiar with them, I’m not exactly well-read on community guidelines. Granted, I am aware of basic rules of behavior at DKos, and I do my best to abide by them. But, based upon these latest events, I have a few questions…
1.) What are the community rules (if any) regarding an existing user’s repetitive posting of banned-user’s content?
2.) If this is where our Party’s “Rapid Response Team’s” efforts and resources are actually focused, towards Democrats that frequently question certain administration policies—in my case, I have significant disagreements with the current management of our country’s economy by the Republican Chair of the Federal Reserve and the Republican-turned-Independent Secretary of the Treasury—what does that say about the future direction of our Party’s communications efforts in the lead-up to the general election, next year?
3.) Despite being highly critical of the administration’s efforts as they relate to management of our economy, I’m on record, countless times, as stating that I’m voting for President Obama’s re-election in 2012. So, reiterating, why was my post--about an overlooked article by a very prominent and highly respected progressive commentator, for which I was thanked by both a DKos FPer and many members of the community for bringing it to their attention, the link and quote from which was subsequently included in a front-page story update—considered to be “anti-Obama?” Or, as some refer to it a post by an: “Obama-hater.” I’m far from that. In fact, I’d find it hard to even comprehend EVER feeling that way about our President.
4.) Is this not the same divisive Party strategy, as directly referenced/indicated in the other blog’s blockquote, below, which failed so miserably in last year’s election cycle?
(Any comments on questions two through four is greatly appreciated. However, my primary question is labeled “#1,” above.)
The quotes from the comments in the other blog, as referenced by my words, above…
“Go Dem Rapid Response!”

Happy 4th of July.
A lot of the remaining PL faction (on gos) really got happy at the administration for once.
They actually outright praised “obama and the DOJ”. that government taking action was a big deal.
With DADT repeal certification coming and President Obama standing strong against the republicans wanting the rich to get richer, a lot of the bashers on the left should quiet gradually.
The only PL blogger i see on daily kos today is bobswern. The rest of dailykos is very positive today.
Therefore, whenever someone from the left bashes the president particularly, push back HARD. We have to do mass responses to conyers and other staffers when that happens. They will back off like rachel maddow did.
I am confident we can make the PL retreat into the shadows. The DOJ action and our mass responses show it is working

They’re irrelevant.
They put everything the had into John Edwards in 2007/8 and he scored a paltry 17% of the vote in New Hampshire. 4 years earlier, when no one like Edwards, he got 12% of the vote in New Hampshire.
This was a great test case. They have no influence, not even in a primary.
This is why they’re not the base. Because if they were the base, then their candidate (Edwards) would have won New Hampshire.
I keep ignoring them until the day they can claim an electoral ballot accomplishment.

That’s been my commitment for a few months. I’ve made a lot of enemies over there, which I take as a badge of honor. What I’ve found works best is to post links that directly refute the lies, or to post something true and appalling about the FDL Mafia. Most of the heat is coming from people who are carrying water for Jane Hamsher and her Primary Obama campaign, and they’re not really brave enough to stick around and fight for what they say they believe. I think I’m doing some good with the people who just get excited and follow the pack – I’ve gotten some positive response. People do get caught up in emotional shitstorms, and I think all they need is a respite, a few facts, and they’re thinking again.

Shared it on twitter. Romney doesn’t care: he thinks he can lie, voters are too stupid. Facts don’t matter. Recession is actually over; economy recovering. The graphs of jobs lost under Bush and added under President Obama should be posted everywhere (the bikini graph)
