Some of us indulge too much in the mood alterers. Wine, beer, ganga, etc. We know our guilty pleasures.
Some of us want to cut the cords that keep us coming back to inebriation. But we don't have the fortitude to do it ourselves. We might just be having too much fun at the time.
Let's face it. blogging Under the Influence might be hard to detect, & if we hit it right, it could be a bad-ass post.
I am much more verbal & animated at that point in drunkenness or bakedness that is hypomanic, where everyone loves to be. I've written some great songs on a ganga high. Inebriants release our shackles & we are temporarily free. We are bold & outspoken, speak freely and may be more inclined to speak the unvarnished truth.
If you're not inclined to excess or escalation, it's a good thing. You shed your inhibitions & speak the truth. It can be liberating, not only for you, but for people who need to address those issues & find a release for the frusrtations they are embroiled in.
But it's kinda like being real good at pinball at the neighborhood bar.
I've been there. I kicked ass early on, but the drunker I got, the more I tilted & I didn't have the coordination to even score.
I'd like to address these issues w/fellow travelers.
I'm not saying we should never drunk or baked blog.
I think what I'm getting at is how we feel about drunk/baked blogging, ourselves.
How do we feel about this? Do we want to stop or be less drunk/baked? Is being drunk/baked interfering w/our regular lives?
Are we having too many wine/Heineken/Ganga flu days?
I don't want to judge anyone on any aspects or choices of inebrients. I just want to know how you feel about what you express here while under the influence.
I'll tell you about mine, but you go first.
