Speaker Boehner continues to argue that you can't raise taxes on the "job creators". I call BS on Boehner. Mr Boehner, how about just asking the "job creators" to take a cut in pay too? You know, like the rest of us. My rant follows:
Not only can you raise taxes on the job creators, you can raise their taxes and ask them to patriotically continue to create jobs. And not only that, but you can raise their taxes and ask them to create more jobs at a faster pace than they have been.
Boehner makes it seem as though if we ask the job creators to pay more in taxes they will stop creating jobs. As if they've been doing that much at all since the Bush tax cuts went into effect.
Okay, for the sake of argument let's pretend job creators have been doing a great job at creating jobs and if we tax them more they'll stop or slow down. Why? Why don't they just buck up like everyone else and swallow hard, and take a small cut in their own pay for once. For the sake of the United States of America, continue to create jobs and take a cut in pay.
That’s all we’re asking. It’s not the end of the fracking world. Just fracking do it.
I’ve never heard Obama use that argument to defeat Boehner’s false notion. Obama should say that the job creators can take a cut in pay, by paying more in taxes. and still create jobs and even more jobs. Because after all the deficit is too high, and, job creators are patriotic and love America too.
I'd love to see President Obama use that argument in one of his pressers.
