NOTE: Sorry about this folks, but updates are appearing BELOW the fold. So please just keep this post open and hit refresh to see them (rather than staying on the elections.dailykos.com main page).
6:21 PM PT: The first few precincts are trickling in. Nothing exciting so far, but the real Dems in two districts have wide leads in the super-early going.
6:37 PM PT: SD2: 66-34 Nusbaum; 8: fake Dem Huber is up 58-42; 14: Clark 60-40
6:41 PM PT: Real Dems Shilling & King up big in their races. Nothing yet on SD-10, though.
6:43 PM PT: The SD2 primary has been called for real Dem Nancy Nusbaum. One down, five to go.
6:46 PM PT: Take a deep breath: Real Dem Sandy Pasch just jumped out to a huge lead in SD8.
6:53 PM PT: Results finally showing up in SD10. Real Dem Moore up 12 pts.
6:54 PM PT: We have 30-pt leads in two other seats and 50-pt leads in the final two.
7:03 PM PT (Steve Singiser): We have new numbers in the Arkansas HD-54 special. Looks like the Democrat, Hudson Hallum, leads with most of the votes in. Turnout is tiny, however, with about 1300-1400 votes total thus far.
7:06 PM PT (Steve Singiser): Hallum's own Twitter account confirms it: he leads with 39% of the vote. Independent D'James Rogers has 31%, with Republican John Geelan at 30%. Only one county plus about 600 absentees outstanding.
7:10 PM PT (Steve Singiser): Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, all the real Dems hold leads, but a couple are a bit nervous. In SD-10, Shelley Moore leads just 54-46 with 70% of precincts in. The other real Democrats are up with at least 60% of the vote. Only one race (Nusbaum in SD-02) has been called by AP--she is cruising 64-36 with about two-thirds of the vote in.
7:12 PM PT (Steve Singiser): Heh. Talk about low turnouts. Dem Hudson Hallum just tweeted that he crushed in Turrell County. 81-6-4. Those aren't percentages. Those are actual votes.
7:17 PM PT (Steve Singiser): And it looks like the ballgame is over in Arkansas, and congrats are in order for Democrat Hudson Hallum! With what appears to be all votes in (total turnout: 1939), Hallum wins 51% of the vote. Indie candidate D'James Rogers gets 28%, while Republican John Geelan limps home third with 21%.
7:21 PM PT (Steve Singiser): Two down, four to go. The AP calls the primary in SD-32 in Wisconsin for real Dem Jennifer Shilling. She is crushing fake Dem James D. Smith 71-29 with about half the vote in. Buh-bye, GOPer Dan Kapanke!
7:28 PM PT (Steve Singiser): Quick update on the uncalled Wisconsin races. In SD-14, but real Dem Fred Clark has a 67-33 lead with more than half of the precincts in. In SD-18, real Dem Jessica King is dominating with 68% of the vote (only 20% in, though). Real Dem Shelley Moore remains the most endangered of the six in SD-10, but she leads 54-46 with about 84% in. Finally, real Dem Sandy Pasch has a solid lead of 65-35 with about half the vote in down in SD-08.
7:38 PM PT (Steve Singiser): And...just like that...we are two-thirds of the way home. AP calls SD-14 for Fred Clark, who is headed to a 67-33 win. Almost simultaneously, they call SD-18 for Jessica King, who holds a 67-33 lead with more than 70% of precincts reporting. Pasch should be called soon, meaning we only need Moore to hang on in SD-08.
7:46 PM PT (Steve Singiser): Sandy Pasch looks close to locking it down. With about two-thirds of the vote in, the lead is up to 67-33 over fake Dem Gladys Huber. No updates lately from SD-08. Nineteen precincts still out, and real Dem Shelley Moore still up just 54-46.
7:52 PM PT (Steve Singiser): Heh...it's almost as if AP knew that CA-36 was closing soon, and they wanted to put a shiny bow on the night in Wisconsin. The real Dems are officially 6-for-6 on the night, as the AP just called Sandy Pasch (SD-08) and Shelley Moore (SD-10). Moore's race is the only one that was even terribly close--she will win by a margin of roughly 54-46 over Isaac Weix.
7:56 PM PT: I wonder what happened in Shelly Moore's race. All the other real Dems won with between 65-70% of the vote. Moore has just 54%. What gives?
8:01 PM PT (Steve Singiser): To put our own shiny bow on Wisconsin, here are the margins of victory for each of the real Dems: Nancy Nusbaum (SD-02) wins 65-35; Sandy Pasch (SD-08) wins 67-33; Shelly Moore (SD-10) wins 54-46; Fred Clark (SD-14) wins 67-33; Jessica King (SD-18) wins 69-31; Jennifer Shilling (SD-32) wins 71-29.
8:03 PM PT (Steve Singiser): And, with that, there is one big contest left on the Tuesday docket: the special election to replace Rep. Jane Harman in CA-36. Join the Daily Kos elections party by moving over here!
