Great news! Gov. Jan Brewer (R) has set the recall date for recalled SB1070 author Russell Pearce.
On Friday afternoon, the Secretary of State's Office certified there were enough signatures to officially put the recall on the November ballot. But Brewer, as governor, still had to take the ministerial step of formally calling the election.
She did that Tuesday, but issued a statement - through her spokesman - expressing her support for Pearce and saying that he should be allowed to finish out his term.

Just a few months ago, it seemed like clerical errors and politicking would push the election out to March.
But now that all the signatures have been validated and certified (and have way surpassed the required amount), Pearce and Brewer have taken the will of the people into consideration (for once).
