A summary of the latest news in the ever-widening News Corp. scandal:
The end of an era?
Maybe. Maybe not.
Rupert
James Murdoch
may be questioned by police "at least as a witness."
A computer from arrested News International head Rebekah Brooks' house found
thrown in trash bin near her house
: her husband claims it was "accidental."
News of the World whistleblower
found dead
; "not thought to be suspicious."
David Cameron has called a
special session of Parliament
regarding the fast-moving scandal.
It's beginning to be difficult to keep track of how many
arrests and resignations
there have been. It's like a game of Clue in which
all
the characters did it.
The Wall Street Journal (a News Corp. company) releases an editorial telling people
to stop picking on (i.e. investigating) News Corp. because it's mean
.
Fred Hiatt's rag
is a bit crabby about it too
. Or at least intends to give it a nice bland slathering of he-said, she-said. Doesn't
every
story need a good he-said, she-said entry?
