Item #1: Bachmann campaign people do not want her to have to answer questions about her headaches.
reporter accosted after bachmann comments on migraines
That’s when things got interesting. Ross dashed after Bachmann, repeatedly asking whether she had ever missed a House vote due to a migraine. She ignored him. Ross pursued her into a parking area behind the stage. Her aides grew alarmed. When Ross made a beeline for the white SUV waiting to carry Bachmann away, two Bachmann men pounced on him, grabbing and pushing him multiple times with what looked to me like unusual force. In fact, I have never seen a reporter treated so roughly at a campaign event, especially not a presidential one. Ross was finally able to break away and lob his question at Bachmann one more time, but she continued to ignore him.
Afterward, I asked Ross — a hard-nosed pro who nevertheless seemed slightly shaken — whether he had ever been treated so roughly. “A few times,” he told me. “Mostly by Mafia people.”
Mafia people - lovely company to be in. But perhaps fitting.
Per NBC / WSJ, Bachmann is now in second in national polls.
In the race for the Republican presidential nomination, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney remains the national leader with 30 percent of GOP primary voters saying he’s their first choice, according to a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll.
But Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has surged into second place with support from 16 percent of GOP primary voters. A month ago -- before she announced her presidential bid -- Bachmann was just at 3 percent in the survey.
Given that a Murdoch paper has touched this poll it is designed to achieve some goal of the GOP hierarchy. Which is probably to stabilize Romney's position as the frontrunner.

Margin of error = +/- 3.1%.
Paul will stick around 9% as long as he's in the race, based on last cycle.
Gingrich is obviously irrelevant, given that most of his staff has quit.
Below Gingrich is random noise.
Below random noise is Tim Pawlenty. Lo how the mild have fallen.
And in 2006, Michele Bachmann said "We are in the last days", meaning that the whole "Left Behind" series of novels was about to be revealed as prophetic. Which would sort of make this year's election an anti-climax.
While of course the Constitution forbids any religious test for holding public office, I do think voters should inquire of candidates whether or not they think that 10 year debt projections are even necessary, given that the Great Tribulation is only going to last 7 years.
Tea Party nation is calling for members to support the Bachmann's anti-gay clinics. But the Tea Party members aren't Republicans, and they are focused on out-of-control government. Right? RIGHT? Fastest co-opting of a "populist" movement in history. Well played by the Kochs and Armey.
Speaking of being co-opted, GOProud says they could endorse Bachmann. Srsly. GOProud members, you might want to look up what "Proud" means. I do not think that word means what you think it means.
And, finally, Michele played the race card. White farmers would get more flood assistance if it weren't for those nasty black farmers suing over - well, being shafted by the government for decades. Uppity coloreds taking money out of the mouths of white kids is what Pigford is all about!
