The oligarchs will use the cover of Citizen's United to defeat any Democrat who votes to cut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. That would be another wonderful layer of irony in that the oligarchs would help vote out of office Democrats who helped accomplish what they've been trying to accomplish for decades.
The result of this political subterfuge is more Republicans elected to Congress to further help shred the social safety net.
It will be a pretty straight forward con. There will be front groups set up with nice sounding names like 'It's my Social Security'.
But who is going to be behind 'It's my Social Security'?
Why the Koch Brothers of course.
Or the Chinese Commies.
Or some other thoroughly right wing reptilian fuckers.
And for the last couple of months of campaigns involving Democrats who voted for cuts to the big three ads by 'It's my Social Security' like this will run:
"Congresscritter Democrat said he would never vote to cut Social Security. But in order to save President Obama's $2.5 trillion national deficit raising deal (might as well throw Obama and raising the national debt into the ad) He did vote to cut Social Security and Medicare.
It's not right for Congresscritter Democrat to vote to raise the national debt $2.5 trillion while cutting YOUR Social Security and Medicare. (Pictures of old, lonely starving old people eating cat food) Call the Congresscritter to say this is wrong.
Paid for by 'It's my Social Security'."
With a link to the It's my Social Security.com website where they can solicit confused voters for money to run even more ads against Democrats.
Vote to raise the national debt AND cut Social Security - that's a political kiss of death.
This is about suppressing the vote for Democratic candidates by discouraging and angering voters who would normally vote Democrat. There will be no call to action to restore benefits. It will be used to get people angry so they won't vote.
It's about taking the focus off of an even more odious Republican candidates by striving to destroy the support of Democrats.
I think it's a strategy that will work. Might not be needed though, as any Democrat that votes to cut any of the big three is probably going to lose enough support to lose the election anyway.
This could also work against any Republicans who vote to cut the big three and raise the debt, but 'It's my Social Security' won't be running ads against them.
Who comes out in the best position for the next campaign on this issue?
The House Tea Baggers who can claim that they didn't vote to raise the debt and they didn't vote to cut Social Security and Medicare.
Doesn't that make you sick?
