Dear Honorable John Boehner,
Since you have decided to hold my student loans, my grandparents' social security checks, my father's veterans benefits, and the economy in which we all live hostage, I am writing you to request payment in full on all of the financial hardship you are causing my family.
As you are an extremely rich person, I expect you will have no problem fronting this bill.
My veteran father is at risk, because of you, of losing over $8000 a year in health care benefits. He joined the military with an understanding that his sacrifice would be rewarded, not ignored by a rich politician playing political games with his life. I expect you to pay for a private insurance program so he doesn't lose his coverage.
I have worked hard to earn an acceptance to one of the best law schools in the country. I accepted liability for their expensive tuition because I was promised a combined $50,000 in yearly grants and loans that will allow me to earn a degree and be able to work in the public interest. I would have paid this back entirely, with interest, to the federal government. But now, funding for my education is at risk. I expect you will compensate for this loss as well.
My grandparents have worked hard their entire life, paying into a social security INSURANCE program, and are getting about $14124 in yearly payments to help pay for their retirement. I fully expect that you will repay them for this loss.
So far we're at a total of $72124 in yearly losses that will arise when you shoot our economy in the back of the head. That is not to mention the losses that will come from the inevitable economic downturn caused by a default, increased interest rates, decreased value of the dollar, etc. We'll get to that when the time comes, I'm sure.
Thank you in advance for paying my family what it is owed.
