Tom Tancredo and Bay Buchanan, co-chairs of the Team America PAC, a political action committee "dedicated to securing our nation's border,"  and bashing Mexicans in the process, have set up a campaign finance committee to support AZ Senate President Russell Pearce, who is facing a recall in AZ District 18. Pearce is best known for pushing SB1070, although that is but one part of his multiple evil doings.

Why are Tancredo and Buchanan getting involved?

Team America PAC exists for one and only one reason: to support the election to Congress of candidates who share our commitment to supporting full border security, and opposing all amnesty measures for illegal aliens (whether they call it amnesty or not). In other words, Team America PAC only supports candidates that you and I would support. Team America PAC's endorsement is the "Tancredo Gold Seal of Approval" for congressional candidates who support real immigration reform and oppose amnesty.

-Tom Tancredo

(In case they didn't notice, Pearce is not running for congress and 10,000 people in his district signed a recall petition to dump him.)

And to Tancredo, border security also requires deriding fellow Americans with absurd claims and Obama digs.

La Raza is a racist, anti-American organization that demands an unlimited flow of illegal immigrants into our country with social services for every one of them. They would bankrupt America even faster than Obama could.

The recall election is a light in a tunnel. I don't think Tancredo and Buchanan's influence will sway the voters in district 18 who have been bullied way too long under Russell Peace.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
