This is the day!!
We gather on the Ellipse in NW DC, at the end near the White House for Save Our Schools March and National Call to Action.
We will have entertainment from around 10 AM.
At around Noon we will begin with our speakers. We will be inspired by the likes of Linda Darling-Hammond, Angela Valenzuela, Pedro Noguera, Jonathan Kozol, Rita Solnet, Diane Ravitch, and Matt Damon.
At around 2 we will step off to march around the White House.
There will be thousands of us - parents, teachers, teacher educators, students, community groups, education supporters.
We are marching, because for the Future of Our Children We Demand:
Equitable funding for all public school communities
An end to high stakes testing used for the purpose of student, teacher, and school evaluation
Teacher, family and community leadership in forming public education policies
Curriculum developed for and by local school communities
Join us if you can. If you cannot, check the website for local events near you, or follow on Twitter what is happening using the hashtag #SOSMarch.
