I hate to say this, but if it comes down to a choice between Obama and Mitt Romney, I'm going to vote for Mitt Romney. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to vote for any of the crazy Teahadists if they're the nominee. Still if the race comes down to Mitt Romney vs. Barrack Obama, I'm voting for Romney.
The bottom line for me is this, if the nominee is Romney all he is going to talk about is jobs, jobs, jobs. Is the Republican plan to cut government to kill the economy while Obama is in office, then turn loose the floodgates once their is a Republican President? Probably. When was the last time you saw Obama get up the guts to point this out?
The bottom line is this: I have a wife with a health condition and a six year old son. We are barely making ends meet, and by that I mean we've cut almost everything we can cut. I suppose we should also stop spending money on Internet, but it's cheaper to pay for access than drive to the library to do job hunting. Iif the choice is extortion: vote for Romney or watch my family get flushed down the drain, I'm voting for Romney.
I can't really think of a good reason to vote for Obama over Romney. If Romney is elected the Republicans stop trying to destroy the country. Obama is so far to the right that he might even be more conservative than Romney. While a Republican President scares me, a President who fails to lead in crisis scares me even more. Right now, I look at my conservative neighbors and see that, by his actions, Obama is confirming and enabling their beliefs. At least with Romney as President the public may see the Progressive leadership of the Democratic party, and not Obama unable to stop the wrecking ball coming for their heads.
So, I'm afraid to say, I will be voting for Romney in the next election. Somehow I doubt my vote will change the outcome of the election in Texas.
