As a gay man who came out in the early 70's, I had the fun of seeing the change from Closeted to Out, and so encountered many gay men who had lived their whole lives hidden. At the old school gay bars (pre-Disco) they carried on, letting out a lifetime of anger and emotion and generally using it for hilarity. Self-dramatizing was a form of protest, theater and bonding.
The self-dramatizing "Progressives" on here don't even know how ridiculous they look; they must have been brought up by indulgent parents who catered to their every whim (you know, the new model of parenting) because their tantrums today are repellent. We're made at Daddy President! Wah-wah-wah! We won't play anymore. We're going to sit home in 2012 and let Rick Perry become President, that will show Daddy Barack how mad we are! Wah-wah-wah!
In Norway last week, the answer proposed to terrorism was not less democracy but more democracy. The answer to TeaBag fascism should be MORE progressive democracy, not less, and certainly not a petulant withdrawal from action. Grow up, you whiners, and get back to work.
