Well I just contacted the White House to express my frustration.I'm not the most eloquent guy, but I can't stand the damn capitulation antics anymore.Talking here and at the Huffington post get me nowhere.I'm fed up and want to just forget the whole business.Hell I'd leave the country if I could. It left me the day Reagan was sworn in if you know what I mean.I know giving up and or leaving is what the radical right wing nuts want me to do, but hell I don't have what it takes to back a doomed cause for ever.Anyway the emails appears below the fold.
Dear Mr. President,
I am not foolish enough to expect that you will see this message, but I hope enough people feel a similar sentiment that you hear about it.Sir I am getting up in age, but when I cast my vote for you I cried driving home.I knew for the first time in my life I voted for the winner, and that he would be a true leader.A man ruled by logic and reason, not ideology.I knew that meant that I wouldn't always agree with you as I am far too progressive for that. But listening to your rhetoric the last few weeks I thought at last you might show the leadership needed to make it clear to the public that we don't so much have a spending problem as we do a revenue problem.I know your a creature of compromise but I seem to only capitulation.Capitulation to radicals who seem bent on destroying the middle class.Nothing done about jobs.If what I am reading is correct this debt deal will actually hurt the economy because the government will be spending less.Nothing done to make the rich pay for their good fortune.Maybe you can explain to me why Warren Buffet is paying less in taxes than his secretary and government is cutting back?Wasn't it two years ago you forth the notion that government projects and spending could help stimulate the economy.I just don't get it.You don't call out the right when it is an extreme fringe that sets the debate. You sir have the bully pulpit. You should be driving the narrative.I frankly have no enthusiasm for voting in 2012, you have been a bitter disappointment, and the Republicans are the tool of the tea party and the corporations (your Democratic brethren sure seem to like the corporations as well). So you tell me what can a citizen do when he is abandoned by his government and voting gets you nowhere? There is no candidate that reflects my interests and ideals.I'd leave if I had anywhere to go.I'm a veteran and I wonder where the country I grew up in went?I wish you good luck and hope (there's a dangerous word) you start to do a better job of advocating for the folks who put you in office.
