From The Last Word:
It is time to use that bully pulpit and I mean 24/7 and have your finger on REPEAT. The American Public MUST KNOW that this downgrade by Standard and Poor lays at the feet of the Republican Party.
Why should he call them out? Because, believe me by Sunday on all the talky-talk shows the talking points (new ones) by the GOP will be lined with LIES. The finger pointing begins.
Time to call a prime time INTERRUPT soon and tell the American Public what this means. Like your credit card interest can rise, car loans higher, home loans higher, the government pays more along with American Companies.
But most important, President Obama tell the American People how this will effect this very fragile economy. Let the public KNOW that companies will put their pedal on stop in job hiring. Let the public know the truth.
Look, I have been critical of President Obama. I believe he should have stared these MOTHER FUCKERS DOWN, took it to the public, let them know what the hell Republicans were doing and tell the country that as President he would make sure NO DEFAULT would happen, that all seniors would get their checks, that veterans and military will be paid and that it will be business as usual because he will EVOKE the right to use the 14th amendment. Then let these idiots take him to court. Believe me, the shit would have ended there, but it went on too long and it tainted everything.
But now President Obama has a silver lining. It is called telling the damn truth, it is called saying "This Is The Republicans Fault", it is called calling them all out. No more nuance speak, like "this is government's fault". Barack Obama, put on the Bill Clinton suit and just say, "This is the Republicans fault, period." No more nice guy, these mother fuckers were never going to play in the sand box nice and it is time for YOU to stop being NICE.
Remember, you can cuss their asses out behind closed doors and you can cuss their ass out professionally to the public. But please, lay this shit on their doorstep.
