A little something lighthearted for today . . . .
I have two pooties (cats), Figero and Amber. We got our catnip laced Pootie Pads in April.
Here are my pooties and their pads:
Figero
Amber
In addition to pooties and their pads, I've also included a few cat and kitten quotes that I hope you will like.
When I play with my cat, who knows if I am not a pastime to her more than she is to me? ~Michel de Montaigne, Essays, 1580
Now, for the story of our pootie pads.
The day the pads arrived, before the package was even open, Figero and Amber showed a definite interest. The envelope was opened shortly thereafter, and they have played with the pads every day since.
I had been told that the training procedure with cats was difficult. It's not. Mine had me trained in two days. ~Bill Dana
There seems to be a daily cycle in the life of our Pootie Pads. They start out flat on the floor in the evening, like this:
Then there is some pootie activity for a bit.
They lay on them:
Or play with them:
There is no more intrepid explorer than a kitten. ~Jules Champfleury
Sometime they even stop and "smile" for the camera.
They both like the pads, but I seem to have a few more photos of Figero with the pads. Since Figero is the pootie that enjoys catnip, it makes sense. Figero loves his pootie pads.
It is impossible to keep a straight face in the presence of one or more kittens. ~Cynthia E. Varnado
The pooties crumple them up some time during the night, so in the morning they look like some variation of this:
This is how I know they are still, after three months, playing with the pads on a daily basis.
Then they play with the crumpled pads until I straighten them again for the next day.
A cat is an example of sophistication minus civilization. ~Author Unknown
So the cycle goes on:
There is something about the presence of a cat... that seems to take the bite out of being alone. ~Louis J. Camuti
Thanks from Figer and Amber to Sara and Ann for making pootie pads for us to enjoy.
