With the Ames, Iowa straw poll just around the corner, and with much of the focus being on speculation over how badly Michele Bachmann will beat Tim Pawlenty, we shouldn't
forget Mitt Romney:
Romney’s campaign professes indifference to the straw poll: “We have no expectations for Ames because we are not competing in this or any other straw poll contest,” a campaign official told POLITICO.
Of course back in the day—in 2008, before the Republican Party was taken over by the extremist wing of their party—Mittens was singing a different tune, saying of the Ames straw poll:
If you can’t compete in Iowa in August .... how are you going to compete in November?
Good question. Mitt?
