Sorry to post a second diary today, but my eyeballs just fell to the floor with this video. Sorry, but I couldn't post a picture, much less a video evenif my life depended on it.
At the same time he signed a Rovian Republican Redistricting Bill which virtually guarentees Republican majorities in Wisconsin, and the day 6 of his Republican State Senators are facing recall elections, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker proposes that both sides work together. Too late, dude!
He was in Kenosha (again met my protestors) to speechify and sign bills. His arrogance at signing a redistricting bill on election day is staggering.
We're coming for you next, Snotty Walker.
Thanks again Kossacks.
Update: More on the redistricting bill here.
Walker waited until nearly the last possible moment to announce he had signed the legislation, which will give Republicans an advantage in the upcoming 2012 elections for both the Legislature and Congress.
If Walker had simply taken no action Tuesday, the measure would have become law automatically. That's because governors have six days, except Sundays, to act on a bill by signing it or vetoing it, according to the state Constitution.
Sooooo, completely arrogant of him to even sign it at all!
With the maps now approved, the fight over redistricting now moves to the courts, where a federal lawsuit already has been filed.
Too bad all of the most experienced lawyers who work for the State of Wisconsin retired early to avoid the impact of the "Budget Repair Bill". Bwahahahahahaha!
Update #2: Polls are now closed (I am unsure if some are still open to accomodate those still in line). Results are available here.
