I don't know their politics but they do have a good burger... I have a feel good story about myself...and maybe an employee that was working under less than favourable conditions at the time:
I don't normally make a scene. I don't normally cause a stir. But recently when I was craving a burger , I chose Wendy's. I drove up to the restaurant. Parked. and walked in. I have made it a point to cut out fast food, drive "troughs" and red meat, but occasionally I justify it. I'm approaching 40 and its OK now and again. I walked in just because. I stood in line/corral and waited to order.
Didn't take but a minute. I placed my (number #? with what ever options) order. Don't remember exactly what. As I was waiting for the young woman to hand me my cup to fill myself with a soda, a woman came in ranting and raving about how their drive through order was wrong.
I looked at the server, she looked at me looked back at the lady and said something in spanish and walked away.
The angry lady said something along the lines of "can't they speak english any more?"
I don't normally cause a stir. My immediate response to her was "this is fast food, What do you expect?" She honestly took a deep breath, grabbed her food and walked out. I embarrassed her inffront of a line.
One of a group of 3 younger kids behind me in line said "that was awesome!"
The young kids are are fine with immigration and the language gap.
I walked out feeling good about standing up to the english part of stuff. Questioning why the fast food part may have deserved any less?
Good night
