A middle school in Missouri made a young girl apologize to the boy who raped her and then expelled her for the remainder of the year. When she returned to school, he raped her again.
You had to read that twice, didn't you? More over the squiggly.
Last we left the Republic, Missouri school system, they were banning books for being insufficiently Biblical.
Now the school system is further demonstrating its adherence to wholesome American values, by punishing a middle-school student for being raped. In 2009, a student came forward to report a rape. The school management leaped into action, pressuring her for hours and hours to recant. Finally, she did. But having recanted, the school felt that she should further apologize to her rapist. After she hand-delivered the apology, she was expelled for the remainder of the year.
When she returned, her mother begged for extra monitoring of her and the boy, but since the school had determined his innocence, they refused. Thus, he raped her a second time.
This time, they're not denying the rape, but they are claiming that they did nothing wrong in the situation.
More at Jezebel. I'm too angry to write anything more.
