Following the Grass Roots efforts in the Fullerton Police Murder of homeless man Kelly Thomas, Police Chief Sellers has gone on sick leave (here).
No charges have yet to be filed. However - purportedly - an independent investigator was hired today. Fullerton Police Chief Sellers (pictured) - tried to cover up the affair and is rumored to have a very special relationship with one of the District Attorney's who is investigating the case
Mayor walks out of City Council Meeting
Ron Thomas lost his temper today, and said he wanted to get a baseball bat. This is really strange, coming from a former Los Angeles County Sheriff. He later apologized.
Fullerton's Mayor and City Council members could not take the heat. Tonight, during a City Council meeting, they walked out. This enraged the public, as the swell of indignation rises even more. Hopefully, as reported, the Fullerton Mayor is intending to meet with Kelly Thomas's father (Ron Thomas) - in a closed door meeting tomorrow.
Community support for the Thomas family and seeking justice - is Overwhelming
Another witness has come forward, testifying that a woman was purportedly taken into custody, who took independent pictures of the beating.
We cannot forget the fact, that a witness told AM 640 that the officer who largely responsible for the brutal beating, was a LAPD officer who was shot and lost 1 eye. When LAPD let him go - Fullerton hired him. His bitterness must have played a part in this affair - as he (Purportedly) bragged about the beating when he returned to the station.
This YouTube video brings the pic in closer - but miss pronounces Kelly Thomas's name as Thomspon.
5:10 PM PT: Kelly Thomas's father, Ron Thomas, ended his hours long meeting with a feeling that the Mayor was more sympathetic to the situation than he did earlier perceive.
However, Ron Thomas still feels that the Mayor should step down. The Mayor is issuing a notice that he does NOT intend to relinquish his job. While there were other notes from Ron Thomas about the fact that Police Chief Sellers (out on indefinite sick leave) has a history of deaths transpiring on his watch - during tenure at other Police Departments.
