Below the clip is a link to the video of Maxine Waters speaking about the difficulties of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) critiquing the first black president of the United States. According to Waters, the CBC has been so timid in confronting President Obama over the black unemployment because they are afraid of their losing their jobs.

Waters said in the video that the CBC cannot do anything because the Black community loves the president. Furthermore, black elected politicians are fearful of a voter backlash if members of the CBC call Obama to task for ignoring the plight of the urban black poor.
This argument is absolutely ridiculous. Most CBC members have been voted into safe seats; it takes a lot of energy and resources to remove them from office. These guys are cowards. Pure and simple. While Waters and other members of the CBC are fretting about re-election, their constituents are worried about putting food on table and keeping a roof on their heads.
For instance, I live in Wisconsin. In my state, Milwaukee, like most inner cities, has a high black unemployment rate. In an article in the Washington Post, Black males with college degrees are having a difficult time in this job market.
The unemployment rate for African Americans surpassed that of every other state, reaching an average of 22 percent for the past 12 months, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Nationally, the unemployment rate is 10 percent, but according to the Census Bureau's American Community Survey, nearly one out of every two black men in Milwaukee is not working, compared with 18.1 percent of white men and 22.1 percent of Hispanic men.
Okay, Waters. As you requested in the video, I am unleashing you. You have my permission to tell Mr. Obama to put an urban agenda plan on the table. I did not think the CBC needed permission from their constituents and the members of the black community to serve as political leaders.
Below is a draft of a letter that I am sending to Congresswoman Gwen Moore. I am sending the congresswoman her letter a little early because she seems to have a tardiness problem. In case the Kos community is uniformed, Moore missed the debt ceiling vote because.....well,....because she was late for the vote.
Dear members of the Congressional Black Caucus:
On behalf of the millions of Blacks who are unemployed or underemployed, you have your constituents permission to meet with President Obama to work on a job plan. Please be reminded that the President of the United States is a busy man; so rescheduling the meeting is a difficult feat. Therefore, I request that all congressmen arrive ten minutes early for the meeting with Mr. Obama.
If members of the Black Congressional Caucus are in need of time managers, please be aware that their constituents are all too happy to serve in this capacity. Time managers, that is constituents in their district, will telephone their congressional offices to remind their secretaries about the White House meeting's time and location.
Sincerely,
A concerned constituent
Alright, the CBC is now out of excuses. They are unleashed!
