Hey Obama, its not enough to talk about jobs in broad scopes. Pushing a liberal policy of government job creation seems to be the ONLY way the United States will increase its job totals. The conspiracy theory shouldn't be about a Republican Congress stalling the American economy, is should be the theory that Republican business owners are holding out for the rise of (insert GOP candidate here) to hire their employees again.
So, we need to come up with ideas. Make comments below if you have a job idea. Here's mine.
Mister Obama, we need to craft government sponsored jobs that people understand. A few high yield jobs that can be explained in a 30-sec sound bite in swing states (I suppose) I want to start strong, so I hope to spur conversation on my guaranteed bi-partisan supported idea.
Medicare/Welfare auditors. 100,000 jobs. We send a brigade of IRS type assholes across the nation to double check on a ton of welfare and medicare recipients. Why? First, to double check their living conditions and their well being (the liberal view) AND also they would be rooting out the violators and cheats that clog our system (the conservative WINNING wedge issue). Hey, you might lose the welfare vote, but I don't know if we're winning it anyway, and in a crazy way welfare recipient often vote against their best interests. Lets move on....
Teacher assistants: add a free college student or a low paying, no benefit receiving classroom helper. Its low cost, low skill, but we have alot of 40+ kid classrooms that need more help, even schools in my home state of Montana could use an extra helper. I honestly know most gas station employees could be a decent 6th grade math tutor given a few weeks of observation with a fellow teacher. Nationwide? 500,000. A true liberal job explosion on the level of FDR.
Forest cleaners. 100 to 250,000 jobs. Across the American West and Appalachia there are forests that are old, tangled, and in these hot summers, BURN. The US Forest Service could be the managers of a fleet of people who pulled out the dead, trimmed the trees, maintained trails and fences. If near a biomass power plant the bio matter can be doubly useful. Again for bi-partisan support call it the Theodore Roosevelt plan.
Three job ideas today from me, so help me out. Let's come up with job ideas that we can talk about tomorrow.
