Based on feedback from my previous diary (about 6 weeks ago), I've added additional controls to allow fine-grained viewing of population demographics. You can now select a single demographic group and view the percentage of the population just for that group.
For example, here's a view of the Non-White population in South Seattle.

To get the feature go to Tools/More Options and click on the Open Color By Population Settings button. that will bring up a panel in the lower right corner. The toggle between full population and 18+ is now on this panel, too.
Select the demographic you want and when you click Color by Population on the top panel, you get a gradient like this one.
I hope this helps those of you working on trying to get good VRA maps. Sorry I didn't do it sooner :-(.
