When I saw this I knew others may relish this richly deserved call out of Eric Cantor on Fox New's "The Five" by Fox's own Bob Beckel. Then Breckel actually went after his Co-Host Eric Boiling for using Obama's vacation to take unfair verbal jabs at the President.
This is fun to watch!
Eric Boiling: There's been a lot of politics surrounding this storm. Listen to the liberals spin a potential disaster as a win for Obama:
waves his hand in a gesture of disdain and plays a clip from 'Morning Joe'
MSNBC"s Mike Barnicle:"...is there potentially a rather dark, downside to the storm and that after the storm passed, after it's over there might be employment in reconstruction and things like that?"
Gov. Beverly Perdue (D): "Oh I hadn't thought of that...
abruptly cutting off the Governor's answer just as as she started to respond
Eric Boiling: Yeah! I don't think I thought of that either! Really.
Sixty five million Americans may be dealt a economic and maybe life threatening blow, and that lefty arthropod thinks that it might create or save a job? Bob an African Government overthrown, the worst East Coast earthquake in decades, now a potential American catastrophe, and Obama's got to get that last round of golf in before he heads back to D.C.
Bob Beckel: I don't blame him, I would too. By the way...
banter
Bob Beckel:...Now! Leave it up to you to try to turn this hurricane into an Obama Shot. Lets talk about the person who deserves the real shot here and that's one Mr. Eric Cantor the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives from Virginia. And Mr Cantor says as he did with the tornadoes in Missouri we cant do this...can't release the disaster relief funds. We got to find that money someplace else.
Eric, let me tell you something boy, when this stuff happens there is money set aside for disaster relief, and you ought to keep your stinking hands off it! And it ought to go to people who deserve to have it.
And on unemployment you may make fun of that, but the fact is let me clue you in after there's a disaster there's always employment.
Eric Boiling: Nothing else seems to be working maybe a hurricane will help out Obama and create a job or two.
Bob Beckel: A job or two??
Later another panelist (I'm not sure who) chimed in saying: "But I've got to agree with Bob about Cantor... ...At some point you got to stop with the politics."
This is heady stuff for Fox News! Their regular viewers aren't used to hearing Republican and Tea Party Icons like Eric Cantor getting savaged on Fox. They must have been checking their remotes after this unusual outburst to make sure they had the Right channel on. I just wish I'd seen it live, I would have been jumping up and down with glee.
