Huntsman: Evolution 'part of God's plan'

Jon Huntsman takes a step backwards on his position on evolution:
During a "Fox and Friends" appearance, Huntsman reiterated that he trusts evolutionary science, but explained: "I believe in evolution. I think it’s part of God’s plan."

Huntsman generated buzz when he endorsed evolution on Twitter, but his poll numbers collapsed with Republicans. At the national level, he's the only candidate with a net negative rating, and in Iowa, three times as many Republicans have an unfavorable view as a favorable one.

A majority of Republicans still disagree with his current position (52 percent believe God created man in our present form), but overall, Hunstman's view is actually far more mainstream than the view that evolution occurred without divine intervention, a view shared by just 16 percent of Americans.
