Funny, she doesn't look Jewish.
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is facing a new challenge: He's having trouble raising money from some Jewish donors who mistakenly believe one of his opponents, Michele Bachmann, is Jewish.
Some Jewish donors are telling fund-raisers for Romney, a Mormon, that while they like him, they'd rather open their wallets for the "Jewish candidate," who they don't realize is actually a Lutheran, The Post has learned.
This is incredible. How could anyone be politically active and think Michele Bachmann is a Jew?
New York Post (sorry)
Like other Republicans, Romney is trying to capitalize on President Obama's waning support among Jewish voters, who are upset with his administration's policies toward Israel.
Romney moved to quickly position himself as an alternative to Obama among well-heeled Jewish contributors in places like New York, New Jersey, Florida and California -- a group Obama locked down in 2008.
Now, that's interesting. Is there any truth to this, or is this a Murdoch rag acting like a Murdoch rag acts?
This suggests to me that someone wants to get the meme out there "Obama not supported by Jews" in any way possible. The Murdoch primary, it appears, is being won by Romney, and so the Murdoch Post is trying to help the Transformer morph into a Jewish-backed candidate. It'd be easier to take this article seriously if one of the links on the page was not "Obama's uncle in DUI bust". There's your fair and balanced journalmalism right there!
If Obama's support among Jews has fallen off since 2008, I will consider the possibility that the Post is on to something. But, seriously, folks - does Michele look Jewish to you?
I dunno, maybe she got too much poppy seed on her bagel or some such.
