Goldie inspects peregrine kate's quilt
Our alliedoc is battling cancer. You can read something about her fight here -- and you can help her in her fight by participating in this community quilt. Your messages of love and support will be a part of it, something she can take to treatment (those treatment rooms are chilly!) and cuddle with at home. She won't ever feel alone.
The backing fabric for the Daily Kos quilt
Here's how it works: leave a message in the comments below and I will transcribe it in archival ink on muslin. It will be sewn into a colorful quilt for alliedoc. We're looking for 68 messages total to make a pattern.

You can also help by contributing to the cost of making the quilt (the materials and a bit of our time). Here is a PayPal link for donations -- or message me for a snail mail address if you prefer checks. The cost of fabric is rising and we do appreciate your support.
Some blocks for the Daily Kos quilt which will showcase patterns from past community quilts done in shades of orange and blue. Here, from left to right, are the block patterns from the quilts of DaNang65, Otteray Scribe, and Kitsap River + Charles CurtisStanley.
